Olympic National Park

Heart O' the Hills

We stayed at this National Parks campground as it was a central position on the North side of the Park. An excellent site, quiet and in the heart of the woods.

Lake Crescent and Marymere Falls

The largest lake in the range provides a platform for many walks in the area. A beautiful glacial lake has Highway 101 pruning along its southern shores. We choose just one walk to Marymere Falls some 2 miles up from the lake. (See Photographs)

Hurricane Ridge

On Thursday, Thanksgiving Day, the roads opened up to the ridge. A spectacular 17 mile drive up to the heart of the Park and the Visitors Centre. The weather was good to us initially and we walked to Sunrise Point which gave us superb views to the north and south. By 2pm the weather had closed in and we made our way back to the campsite.
