Bryce National Park

I am running out of superlatives

Bryce Canyon exceeded all my expectations. The road to Rainbow Point was open, it is usually closed in winter, and I rose to 9,115ft above sea level at Rainbow Point, the highest so far.

Overnight

I headed North on Route 89 and as I could not find an RV Park open so I boondocked on a quiet road on Route 12, the road up to Bryce Canyon.

Red Canyon

To enter the park one goes through Red Canyon, and believe me it is red. Also a couple of arches have to be negotiated. (See Photographs)

Bryce Canyon

On to Bryce National Park. I first went to Bryce Canyon in the early morning light the scene was spectacular and the views to the distance were fantastic. I then went on to Rainbow point were I was privileged to be able to view and photograph Bristle Cone Pines perched on the rim. Again the views were spectacular and the colours hard to take in as they changed as I looked at them. (See Map)

I will be back, this is a great, great place that changes with every minute of the day.

I make no apology for all the photographs and Video. I left in plenty of time heading North again on Route 89 where I found a quiet RV Park with Internet conection in Circleville.
